Actual Cost Information

Obtain actual cost for bond, debt or tax election

Act 205 of the 2019 Regular Session requires the governing authority to include in the publication of the result of the election a statement of the actual cost of the election as determined by the secretary of state for a bond, debt or tax election called after Sept. 23, 2019. An invoice that provides the actual election cost is mailed by the secretary of state to the governing authority 45 to 60 days after the election is closed and distributed. The actual election cost may be obtained from the governing authority who called the bond, debt or tax election upon receipt of the invoice from the secretary of state.
